Find Someone Who Present Simple [exercise 2]
In a “Find Someone Who” activity, students participate in a speaking exercise by searching for classmates who fit specific descriptions. Each student is given a list of statements and must ask their peers questions based on these statements. For instance, if the statement is “Find someone who plays sports,” the student must find a classmate who matches that description, record their name, and share the information with the group, possibly requesting more details related to the statement.
This “Find Someone Who” activity is intended to practice using Present Simple.
You can also encourage your students to ask follow-up questions.
Example:
Student A: Do you play sports?
Student B: Yes, I play sports. I enjoy playing basketball with friends. How about you? Do you play any sports?
Student A: Yes, I play soccer. I’m on a local team, and we have matches every weekend.
Student B: That sounds like a lot of fun!
etc.
